The name Medussa has been selected with considerable forethought. Medusa was one of the Gorgons; the female monsters from Greek Mythology. She had hair of serpents and a face so unbearable that the mere sight of it would turn a man to stone. She left a trail of stone wherever she went. This is what the creative owners of Medussa also do as they collect materials for fascinating buildings and interiors.
The company Medussa was born from a hobby more then 35 years ago and, under the leadership of Marc Goyvaerts and his wife Sonja, expanded into an internationally renowned business dealing in historical building materials, garden decoration and intriguing objects.
Today, Debbie Goyvaerts and her partner Kristof fully participate in the management of the business and the company is slowly being passed on to the second generation. In short, Medussa is a family business based on hard work and continuity.
